Common questions
Is the QR code menu really free?
Yes. Everything on vCardGen is free.
Do my guests need an app?
No. The camera of any recent phone reads the code and opens the menu in the browser.
Can I change the menu after printing the code?
Yes. The code holds the address of your menu, not the menu itself. You edit the menu, the printed code stays the same.
How large can a menu be?
30 categories, 300 dishes and 60 photos.
Which languages can I write it in?
Any. You write the menu once, in one language. Arabic and Hebrew read right to left.
Do I need an account?
You build the menu first. To put it online we mail an 8-digit code to your email: there is no password, and the same email lets you edit it later.
Can I use my own colors and my logo?
Yes. Choose the background, the text and the accent color of your menu, and add your logo beside its name. If a text color would be hard to read on your background, the builder tells you and offers a readable one. The logo and the photos are added once the menu is online.
Is it only for restaurants?
No. A café, a coffee shop, a café-restaurant, a bakery, a juice bar or a snack bar types its own categories, and picks the one of eight looks that suits it.
